The Fitzpatrick Straight Sliding Fire Door has been designed to be left permanently open, in the event of a fire the self closing system will be operated remotely via the fire alarm or by a fusible link.

The design includes an interlock system to the vertical and top edges of the door. This type of door has been designed specifically for the larger opening on industrial applications and will generally require an assessment from an independent fire laboratory to BS476 parts 20 and 22, rated at 1, 2 or 4 hours.

The door operates on an inclined overhead roller track or counter balance weight system to ensure controlled closing speeds.
